The continental breakfast offered a delightful variety, exceeding standard expectations with fresh local highlights.
While the room was comfortable, I found the lack of hot water in the sink and shower a bit inconvenient during my stay.

Y'all, I felt right at home here! The bed was just plush as a cloud, and bless your heart, that shower was mighty fine. Couldn’t get enough of the cozy breakfast nook with all the goodies! Just a heads up, the parking's a tad tight, but nothing I couldn't handle in my little car. Perfect spot for easy strolls to all the sights!

I loved the comfy bed and the cozy breakfast nook with all the tasty options—it felt just like home! There were some nice spots to relax, including a charming lounge area and a garden terrace. The only thing was that the parking spots were a bit tight, but no biggie if you plan to walk around!

The Rideau Inn impressed me with its cozy charm, especially the comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep after long days of exploring. It's a quick 15-minute walk to Parliament Hill and Byward Market, which is great for sightseeing without the hustle. The rooftop terrace offered a lovely spot for a drink while enjoying the evening air. Breakfast had an excellent selection of quality items, including freshly baked croissants. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all essentials. Parking in the back was tight but manageable with a smaller vehicle. The only downside was the shared bathroom situation that might be a bit inconvenient for some. Overall, I loved the homey feel and the relaxed atmosphere, making it a standout option over larger hotels.

missingWrote a review on Oct 11awkward shower
The room smelled strongly of laundry soap, which can be an issue for those with allergies. The shared shower near the bed felt awkward, lacking privacy if sharing with someone else. Wi-Fi functioned intermittently, especially at night, and the mechanical noise outside the window was disruptive. Breakfast options were limited and overpriced at $2 for self-serve.

We truly enjoyed our time here! The outdoor tennis courts were a hit with my dad, giving us some quality family fun, and Elgin Street is just a short stroll away for delicious dining options. Plus, it felt safe for our group.
In my wife’s opinion, breakfast options could be more family-friendly.

The location is unbeatable, just steps from the canal and various dining spots. Check-in was smooth, and the host ensured all essentials were well-organized, including breakfast options featuring regional products. The shared bathrooms were maintained impeccably, although noise from creaking floors was occasionally disruptive. For a budget-friendly stay, the ambiance was charming, perfect for weekend relaxation.

Had a fantastic time with friends! The location was a win, just a quick stroll to Elgin Street for dining and bar hopping. Loved the nearby outdoor tennis courts for some fun. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Clean room and cozy atmosphere made it feel like home.
One downside was the breakfast. It was pretty basic and not aligned with our usual diet, so we opted for a nearby restaurant instead for a better meal.
